Sounds like the Duster would be an excellent restoration project.

I would like too but with my Challenger engine down for repair I can't right now.
About $2000.00 in sheet metal panels would make the car solid though.
I will list it in the cars for sale section today. I hate to see the car just parted out.
Here is a link to pictures of the car.

I think you are going to have to go with low cost, late model, dependable transportation.  Even if you were to buy a cheap C- body, can you afford to feed the big block at $3.25 a gallon? The Abody would work, but finding a good one cancels out the low cost aspect of your equation.

DUSTER!!!! I love mine! Drive it everyday. I've pushed 4 friends into A bodies. They all swear by them.Mine has never left me stranded.Granted the /6 doesn't go very fast,But the mileage is great!  Parts are plentiful and cheap. You might need to spend 3K for a nice granny though. I think the Dusters are the best kept secret in mopars...And will eventually creep up in value. As the resto. market runs out of worthwhile E/B's. JMO.

I was gonna suggest a newer Daytona, but one thing to keep in mind is?If you have to have more than one passenger then they have to sit in the back seat and there isn't a heck of a lot of room for them.I love my Daytona's but my 13 year old son is now over 5 foot tall and 180 pounds and if the 4 of us are in it(me,wife and both kids)its not very comfortable.Thats why I bought a Dodge Dart that I am gonna use as a daily driver in the spring, summer and fall.Plus my daughter said that she missed the Dart I used to have because in the little Daytona if you sit in the back you can't see anything and the Dart you can.
