missing federal safety sticker
« on: January 08, 2011 - 10:30:52 PM »
Anyone know how I can get a replacement federal safety sticker? (the one with your VIN and build date affixed to the driver door).

Someone discarded it years ago during a repaint. Shame too because the car has three build sheets and the fender tag still.

Russ hooked me up with the company that makes these and they may make the one you have as well. Not sure what yours is from.

Attached a pic of the one off my 70 Chally which is what I need.

Culvers,

Where does that sticker go?  And on what year?

'69 models, maybe older cars too? Not used on '70 & newer. The last YO catalog I saw said differently, so they have been appearing on cars that never had them.

Which sticker areyou guys talking about? the black one or the one with the VIN?

I know my 70 Challenger had the fed sticker with the VIN one and so did another unrestored 70 Chally I found so I assume you are talking about the black sticker?

I havn't owned anything Mopar pre 70  so I was clueless on that sticker.
