was the push rud length and rocker arm length right. every manufacturer has different length rockers (not talking about ratio) . on a roller rocker , if the roller contact patch at 50 isnt right in the middle of the valve it will stress the areas you point out . push rod length will do this too.
does indy recomend these rockers for roller cams . indy sells very good heads and i would believe that they would design and build a rocker to accept some abuse . the newer indy rockers at mancini look different than the pictured rockers. myop Bill

I never got a chance to run these, the guy I got them from didn't know that they were damaged. They did fine for him until he went higher on spring pressure and ended up having to go to the T&D rocker setup... I'm sure everything was fine as far as push rod length, ect, just that when he went to a higher spring pressure, it messed them up. He thought he got them off in time, but was wrong, oh well. Now I got a nice set of desk top roller rockers, lol. That's about all these are good for now.... In either case, I need to figure out what I am gonna run now since these have turned out to be messed up....

Maybe I should start over here.... I'm not trying to diagnose someone elses problem. These rocker arms didn't break when I was using them, they broke on the previous owners motor, hence why I said he went to the T&D setup. He is running a solid roller cam and the spring pressures are obviously too much.

My problem is finding a set of rockers that will work for me. A set like these that I've pictured will work for me, except for the fact that they're shot . I'm running a Lunati VooDoo cam hyd flat tappet version with matched springs. I'd say at this point, any rocker arm setup would be fine, in fact some would be over kill ::). I've narrowed the wide variety down to saying I'm wanting a roller rocker, and it has to be a 1.6 ratio. The ones I mentioned before are ones that I've eyed, but have made no decision as of yet. So let me say, put these Indy's out of your mind for a minute and pretend that I don't have any rocker arms at all, and what I mentioned is what I'm looking for.

I brought these Indy's up for reference in case anyone is running high spring pressures and was looking for feedback.... That's all.

Also, I hope this reply doesn't come across rude, it's not supposed to. I see this thread going down a path it's not supposed to lol. These Indy's are not a problem for my motor because they will never see it... My problem is that I need to find another set, the lower the price the better, but I don't want to sacrifice quality, hence why I said I'm open to used stuff, as long as it's ok :smilielol:... I hope that no one took anything the wrong way, just trying to keep this thread on the right track. :smokin:

so you just want a set of rockers witn non offset that work with a ball cup setup similar to the indys in 1.6 ratio on your stealth heads?

get the crane golds then  :2cents:

I went back through the thread and its a bit confusing  :lol2:

Yeah I know, that's why I did that last post.... To try and get it straightened back out. As far as push rod style, don't care really... The rods are gonna be new so... I do have a couple of contacts that have some different sets that are in great shape that they'd let go for what seems to be next to nothing... If the rockers end up being adjustable then so be it, but being that I'm running a hyd flat tappet cam, I don't quite see the need in an adjustable valve train, solid would be a different story...

the stainless PRW would be fine for you as well , they are available in 1.6 ratio unlike the Comps

If you don't use adjustable rockers you will need to install correct length pushrods to properly locate the "piston" within the hydraulic lifters, so the "adjustment" is the length of pushrod rather than at the rocker arm.
