No Reverse Wheel Lug Threads on my TA!
« on: January 01, 2011 - 07:34:39 PM »
I just noticed that all of my wheel lug nuts are right threaded.  I'm a little confused considering all of my Mopars have be half right with the other half left, so did someone change mine out at some point or is something specific to the TA?

Probably when the garage mechanic tried to loosen the nuts and broke off the studs.  LOL  :roflsmiley:

I know at my old work at the brake parts company, the E body rotors we manufactured came with studs and they were right hand threads, so if someone replaced rotors, unless they swapped out the studs for left hand thread on the drivers side  new rotor, you were getting right hand.
And I believe it's been a number of years since any of the parts stores like Napa stocked left hand thread, so if a mechanic broke one of the left hand ones on a car, he'd probably replace the whole set with new right hand ones.

All my threads are right hand.  New rotors on front came with right hand on both.  I never even thought about the one side supposed to have left hand threads.

1st thing I always did was change out left hand threads for right hand threads. The 2nd thing I did was change out my '70 door latches to later models because I could never lock my '70 doors without using a key.
