Holes should already be in the fenders.  Just bolt the pin in the fender, then mark where it hits the hood to drill the holes in the hood.

The hood should have an opening in the metal that gives you a general idea you're in the right area.

I left the interior hood release system  in place hoping to avoid unwanted enthusiasts from opening the hood by merely popping the hood pins.
Dutch, how’d the hood pins work out on the trunk lid? Does it increase HP and down force?

The car is far away from me. About 45 minutes. Does anyone have pictures of where they mount on the fenders? Also, how big should the holes be? Thanks guys! Your help is always appreciated.

I'm about to do the same to my 73 'Cuda...  I have to add a mounting bracket to mine, but then I'm going to drill a pilot hole to ensure I'm not off the mark.  Then widen the hole to the same size as the hole in the upper metal plate (maybe a tiny bit bigger to be hidden by the plate).    I figure you don't want the hole smaller as it will not be covered up by the plate and too much bigger may cause other problems.

Be sure your hood is adjusted (aligned) where you want it though... Mine has a lot of play and if I'm not careful I could put the hole in a bad spot.

One last question... Does anyone know the approximate diameter of the hole that need to be drilled?
