I was talking to a good buddy of mine that told me I should buy a used boat trailer and make a rotisserie out of it. He said that way I could tote the car (shop to media blaster, etc...) around as I restore it. Anyone every done this before??? Pictures?

nevr heard of that one, but I bet you`ll break a leg or 2 when working inside a trailerframe with the car on it`s side
I`d rather build a solid one with some good wheels you can roll onto a flatbed

I've heard about using the trailer crank winch to rotate the rotisserie.

its a solid frame and gives most of the material to make one,,cut the nose off and some other modifications,,and its not to far a stretch,,just fab up some rear and front mounts and you in business,,i could see that easy

When I built my rotisserie I considered the following: The design of all the commercial built ones, The overall length, the ability to turn in it's own length ( full swivel wheels on both ends) and be able to crab into a work area, the work height and the ability to rotate 360 degrees. A boat trailer would fail all these parameters. PK
