Car sitting lower than expected

Well....I finished installing the front suspension. When I sat the car on the ground it sat low in the front and high in the back. I was expecting the nose to have a rise to it with no engine in it. I'm thinking a couple of things. 1) I did not put enough tension on the lower control arm bolts and 2) should I have put the shocks in it? I did not think it was necessary to put them on yet being that it is just going to the body shop for final assembly and paint. Does anyone have a picture of how far in the lower control arm bolts should be? I just want to make sure that I get them in the general area where they should be. I will make final adjustments once it comes back. Any idea of what I might have done wrong? Any info would help me. Thanks

Mine are tightened in so there is about an inch of head/threads protruding below the LCA.  That's with HEMI bars and a small block.

Mine have the Hemi Bars also but I have 1 inch an 1/4 protruding now. I will Jack the car up tomorrow and turn them in until I have an inch protruding. Do you think that the front shocks need to be on? If not hopefully that will do the trick. I appreciate the help.

I doubt it.  The shocks don't carry the weigh of the car, the just limit the amount of motion that the car experiences as it travels down the road.

the car will sit low if the torsion bars are on the wrong side , the bar with the even # is always the one for the right [passenger] side , the end of the bar has the # & usually is marked L or R

I read somewhere on this site that one-inch T-bars and larger can go on either side.
My new one-inch T-bars don't have any identification markings on them.
I havent had a chance to install them yet (too cold)
- So, I need to ask, are one-inch T-bars assigned to a left/right side?

The shocks definitely dont need to be on.

Looking at the picture, I can still see some adjusting bolt sticking out of the control arm. This would tell me you don't have them turned in enough. Not sure what springs you have out back, but with the vehicle as empty as it is, the whole car may sit a bit taller than it will when complete. The shocks will have no impact on this. Another possible scenario is that you tightened down all the suspension components while the car was in teeh air and all the suspension was hanging. Thise creates a tight spot and tends to hold everything in place until you put a lot of weight in the car or cycle the suspension, resulting inthe high boy look you have.

Honestly, don't worry about it. Once the car is all together and everything loaded, then you need to set ride height and then get an alignment, in that order.

...and yes, t-bars over 1" don't have right or left sides.

The rear springs are ESPO Stock ride height 6 leaf. 1 inch bars are from just suspension & they told me that it does not matter which side  the bars go on just as long as the star is towards the back of the car. Once installed if you remove them, you have to make sure that they go on the correct side. I plan on putting more tension on the torsion bars today. I need to get it back to the body shop today or tomorrow. Thanks for your help.

the factory bars clocked 30* so both ends will not sit flat , if both hexs do sit flat they can go on either side
