    Exterior Door trim questions

    the long metal trim piece that runs along the top of the door just outside and at the bottom of the window opening....what is it made of and can it be polished up to remove pitting?
    Also, can it be removed without taking off the inner door panel? I see one screw accessible from the rear of the door.

    "usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.
