Side light conversion 73 challenger to a 70 style

Previously i fabbed into my quarters, plates to use the 1970 style side lights. I am needing to purchase the lights, and i have found them for $425 complete new. Question is will my old wiring harness work or will i need to purchase a new harness, and will it come with the light bulb ends on it? I have found a rear harness at year one for $125.  Anyone have any ideas or alternate sources for these materials? I am also looking for the gaskets, without having to buy a complete gasket kit.

You're going to have to do some splicing if you want to keep your original 73 harness. As you know, the bulb sockets are on your 73 harness but the 70-71 side markers have that little male/female side by side connector. So you either have to get a 70-71 harness or put some of those ends on your harness.

I would crimp, solder, then heatshrink the spliced wires before wrapping them up.
You can get that connector already molded in rubber at some electronics stores. This way your splice is a few inches away.

Thats what i figured i would have to do. My wiring is shot anyhow and i was going to replace some of it. My only concern is if the 70-71 harness comes with the light sockets.

The sockets are part of the side markers. Also know that the front parking/turn signals will need a different connector too.
