The hose controls the heat and vent regaualtions on the heatbox so with a broken a broken hose they will not work.
I don´t use the ac in my car either but I want the rst og the system to function anyway

I'm working on the heater box too and would be interested in your answer. I'll probably buy a roll of hose that is the right size and route it myself. What I don't have is the connector that plugs into the dash control panel. Then of course I don't know which line goes to where so that will be fun figuring out too. Currently I'm working on repairing the box. All of this would be easier if my car originally had AC.

It´s the connector that´s the "problem" as u say
I have the lining on my box so I can replace the hose separat without any problem but I would like to change to "newer rubber" when they are from 1970  :)

I was going to replace all the rubber with new hose until I realized I could not do the connector portion of it.  Then, upon inspection of my hoses, all were in really good shape.  Even though they were practically 40 years old, they looked and felt brand new.
That's a drag they are being such a flakey company.  That looks like a decent part to make the repair quick and easy.  The originals are color coded and those look like they are too.  New hose would not be unless you DIY.

My hose looks and feels ok to but when I saw that rps sold them I thought it would be a nice thing to change while the dash and heater are out of the car.
When they are back in the car I don´t think that it´s so easy to replace the hose so better safe.... was my thought  :)

I didn't know the hoses and conectors were being repoped. My originals  have been chewed up by mice, see how this turns out.
