I was going to replace all the rubber with new hose until I realized I could not do the connector portion of it. Then, upon inspection of my hoses, all were in really good shape. Even though they were practically 40 years old, they looked and felt brand new.
That's a drag they are being such a flakey company. That looks like a decent part to make the repair quick and easy. The originals are color coded and those look like they are too. New hose would not be unless you DIY.
