Hood Pin Cable Lanyard Length
« on: March 03, 2011 - 09:03:26 PM »
I am finishing my car up and am re-using the hood pins, however the cables (Lanyards) and clips are missing.  I see there are 2 different lengths being sold for the 70 challenger.  One is 18 inch and the other listed is 23 inches.  Which one do I need for the 70 Challenger R/T?

Why is there a difference in length, and does anyone know where I can get only the cables and clips?

Anyone have an extra set laying around?

Thanks in advance

I am pretty sure we use the 23 inch, but you can verify through MoparDave at Roseville moparts.

If you are driving alot and want to save your paint, don't use the lanyards.

This is what I did. I don`t know the correct length mine just looked long so I tied them in a loose knot and hid the knot under the valance panel. You can adjust the knot to get the right distance for the lanyards and no one will ever see the knot.

    :iagree:

True enough. I have my cables pinched in the gap between my hood and fender when I drive it.
