I started stripping my grill R/T emblem to refinish and it occurred to me that I don't know what color it is supposed to be. It looked orange but was worn, faded and chipped. Is it supposed to be some color RED or maybe Hemi orange? PK

All R/T emblems I have seen are red. Not sure what shade of red, but they are all red.

When I repainted my 440 hood emblems I used a colour called 'Insignia Red'. It looked very close to me.

Thanks dodji for the hint. I had a Patra bottle of insignia red and some left over red from my 54 Dodge pickup. I decided to go with the "Dodge Truck Red". How wrong could I be with that. I'm never, ever going to tell anyone what color the emblem is. If it's totally wrong I can change it. Thanks, PK

Looks great and you have the emblem and RT emblem lined up correctly. A lot of restorations have them wrong .... see the original brochure from Chrysler. All the best with your resto...... CHAPS
