AAR Hood
« on: February 22, 2011 - 01:43:20 AM »
Just bought my AAR hood from AAR Fiberglass. I am pretty excited but I won't even be able to see it for awhile. It's going to Oklahoma where the car is.

Good news is I'm having it shipped to my Dad's neighbor's garage which is cheaper because it is a business. Also, AAR doesn't charge for shipping until the hood is inspected and accepted from the freight company. I have heard of numerous reports of hoods from other manufacturers showing up cracked and banged up. This will eliminate being stuck with a bad hood.

They cost a little more but after a few years of looking at peoples experiences with different AAR hoods. I felt that AAR Fiberglass had the best rep. Let's hope I'm not disappointed.

My friend got one from AAR Fiberglass in Florida a  year ago.

We put it on and it fit very good and the quality is nice...

You should be happy with it or your body man should..

I think it is. I know it comes black but I don't know if they spray it with a black coating there. I got a fiberglass "rubber" bumper look a like years ago and it was black like that EDP coating on sheet metal.

The photo I posted that's the way the hood comes. that's the day we fitted the hood,  the body lines are pretty close, your body guy will have to do very little to make it perfect...
