I want to run either a 9" or 10" wide rim.  I have a stock 8.75" ebody rear housing.  I have heard there is a bolt in hanger kit that will allow me to meet my goals.  Where would I find these brackets and what all needs to be done?  Is it possible to stick those wheels on without even needing to alter anything and if so what backspacing?

An  8.5" rim with a 295 /50 will fit with no mods , P4120078 is the mount kit to move the spring inward but you also need to use the shorter SS springs with this, P4120076 is the offset reart hanger , both are available from Mopar , you also need to move the spring seats on the diff , new ones are welded on & are available -P4120074

Chryco is mighty short-worded but speaks greatly  :tongue:
With above set, you could also run original leafs but then you need to rework the front hanger.. that's what I did in mine, if you can weld and know how to use cutter you should not be in nooooooo problemo  :thumbs:

you can crawl down to suspension section w/title Challenger rear w/MT28*12.50 that's mine so you'll see with pictures the spacing. 295's are really "throw-in" with that.

Hi LC,
  This might be interesting to check out. I haven't done this myself, but stumbled across it
while researching for my project. It pretty much confirms what the other guys are saying. The Dr.
Diff package would work too. It is my understanding with any of these spring relocate deals
on a Cuda(not Challenger) that the clearance between the rear valance panel and the rear
shackle gets real tight, depending on the free arch of the spring. I understand that to mean
newer spring OK, older spring with some sag not good at all. Good luck and like the members

you're quite right.. it get's somewhat tight, at least with chally. well, there a little spacing so that it's not touching the valance  :thumbs:

You can see the tire is just hitting the spring.....no relo kit yet....the rims are centerline convo pro's 8.5 inch with 5 inches of back space...tires ar MT et streets 28*12.50*15.....

Don't forget about using the old  B-body rear trick if you want to avoid welding anything

The B-rear (1962 to 1970) is 44 inches between the middle of the spring seats, almost the perfect
distance for the bolt in relo kit on an E-body 8)

Yeah, but I have 2 ebody rears and figure since the body shop has the car and the trunk is out, it will be easier to use my current rear.

Get the Dr. Diff relocation kit:

-b body rear end, 5" BS w/a 10" wide rim, or

-e body rear end, 6" BS w/a 10" wide rim.

Found a set of Budniks that are 17x11 with a 6" bs.  Would those fit on the rear with the 1" offset hanger setup by docdiff using the stock ebody housing?

 here is a pic of my A body for clerance with a set of 10" E.T. mags and a set of 28.50/10.50-15 The only reason I show this is that this is the same mags I ran on my 70 cuda with bigger tires. just some careful measuring as not all mopars seem to be built the same...lol
