Just got a call today that the previous owner found the two original broadcast sheets and the original title for my '70 SE matching numbers car.   :bananasmi   He dropped them in the mail.  Sure hope they make it here okay.

This should answer a few questions about some options on the car that aren't shown on the fender tag.

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Received two copies of the broadcast sheets in the mail the other day. :clapping:

Had a question about the first few lines of the build sheet.

Line 1, Vehicle Delivery and Handling "Sold Car Sales Bank" Y1(4)

Line 5 Car Height (EP1), followed by 1 (45) 2 (09), 3 (25)

Is there any on-line info on decoding some of these codes?  Figured out most of the rest of this.

From the build sheet, there is no code recorded for shoulder belts.   But the car has shoulder belts installed with a second buckle for both driver and passenger.  Could this have been a later addition?  Is a separate lap and shoulder buckle the correct configuration for a 1970 Challenger SE?  Seems kinda hokey to me.  But then so do the buckle holders at the back of the console. 

I was happy to find the Rim Blow steering wheel and W23 road wheels were original equipment. Along with the sway bar and rallye suspension (what ever that consists of).

It's missing the belt moulding.  Should I consider putting that back on? :dunno: Would you?

  P = Power Steering
    1 = Height ?
45 = Master Cylinder: Power Disc
09 = 09:00 AM Broadcast Print Hour
25 = #25 Broadcast Print Seq/Hour

It was very nice for the owner to do that.  It's great that you now have all documentation with the car again.  I had a similar thing happen to me a few years ago, surprisely it was the original owner of the car and he had it for forty years.  Needless to say, I about fell out when I heard and seen them.   :woohoo:

Especially, since mine is a true 70 R/T, 383, 4spd, with A/C!

Congratulations on getting the old documents.

Looking at it the other way round, I was contacted last week by someone who now has a '74 barracuda that I sold in 1995.  I thought it had disappeared for good, but no, it's still around.   :clapping:

That's pretty cool.   :ylsuper:  Is it you and the car still in the same area?  It'd be interesting to see what has happened to it over the past 15 years or so.   :cheers:

Quite a lot has changed.  Here's a photograph he sent me.  It was black before with a 318, now it has a 383 and is Hemi Orange with billboards and a scoop.  I wouldn't have recognised it.  Were not in the same area but I'm hoping to meet up with it again at the Euro Nationals in July.
