Can the key tumbler be removed without having the key? Working on a 74 Barracuda steering column, lost the ignition key. Have a new key / tumbler assembly.

John,
Shoot me an email at:
jforest1 AT_SIGN gmail PERIOD com
and I'll send you an awesome document with step-by-step disassembly of the steering column.
I used it to replace my tumbler.

A locksmith cam make you a key in less than 10 mins.
Free if you have AAA too.
Do your doors use the same lock? Bring him a door lock.
(complete ignition locks and door cylinder sets are usually less than $20 bucks now though)
