Front headlights- electrical problem?

On my 72 chally, when I turn on the lights the outer two headlights go on.
When I step on the high beam button, only 1 outer headlamp goes on and
on the opposite side only 1 inner (high beam) goes on,
the outer one goes off.
Any suggestions.

Either you have a burned out filament in one outer and one inner lamp or you have a bad connection on the same.

Change the low beam that goes out on high and change the high that never comes on.

That sounds like a ground issue. Locate the headlight harness ground, clean the connection and reinstall using vaseline or grease on the connections. Most funky problems like these where one day something was working and the next it doesn't, usually results in a faulty or bad ground connection.
