Lower ball joint boot replacement question
« on: March 05, 2011 - 09:01:28 PM »
Hi all!
I just noticed the rubber boot on my Moog lower ball is split and needs replacement while I have the suspension all ripped apart. I notice energy Suspension( Part Number: 5.13102) have replacements. Has anyone used them? Hows the fit? Any splitting? Or does Moog sell just the boots? Ball joints have less than 300 miles on them.
Thanks Brad

I bought both upper & lower boots from Energy Suspension that were specified for my '73, no problem with the upper but the lower were very loose, I had a couple of extra tie rod boots so I tried one & it fit much better, sorry no part #s & I cant say what the long term issues may be.

Moog will not sell a replacment boot , the energy / poly boot will hold up well
