metal interior trim part question
« on: March 08, 2011 - 06:47:47 PM »
Would someone know if the roof rail trim inside the car that meets the front pillar plastic trim is different from 70-74 Barracudas? I have 2 sets, one has a hole in the metal where it meets/covers the end of the plastic pillar trim, the other set has no screw hole. Putting my 74 Barracuda together and would like to know which trim is correct, thanks John.

Are you refering to the part that holds the weatherstrip?

The part I am asking about is the long metal trim part that pushes up into place near the headliner. Not sure what it is called. the front of this part covers the end of the front pillar plastic trim. Am curious if the screw was deleted in 74? The pieces I have have no screw holes and am thinking these were from this car. Does anyone have a picture of a 74 Barracuda interior? Thanks John.

to my understanding 70-74 where all the same, the screw hole was in the front to hold the top of the a post trim tight to the headliner. that was the only screw hole, just clips up.

:iagree:

Is the set without the screw hole original, or a repro?
