anyone using electric exhaust cutouts?

just wondering if anyone has used these? Wondering about clearance issues. Do they hang down any lower then the pipes? My pipes already drag in low places. How hard is it to install these into a pre existing exhaust system? Also i have side exhaust already so where would i dump the pipes? any suggestions would be appriciated
