    Need a good source for 70 Challenger tail panel

    I have a 71 challenger that I am making into a 1970 R/T S.E. I need to swap out the tail panel to make it look like a 70'. Anyone know of a good source? I know they are not repopped yet.

    6PKRTSE,

    I looked into this a few months back. I don't have a specific source. I checked some online salvage yards that specialize in Mopars. I recall one quote of 450 to cut it off plus shipping. Not a cheap piece. I saw some rusted out swapmeet ones going for 200+. New taillight plastic from year one is 400+ then you have to find buckets, and the benzels usually need rechroming. Needless to say I am going to leave mine a 74 and sell my 70 front clip.

    I had know idea that they would be this expnesive. I never see the for sale any where. Even at swap meets. Then again that's an E-body for ya. How much you want for the front clip?
