I think it depends on if you have a truck (rear sump) or car (front sump) if it will fit or not.  I think with a truck rear sump pan it might fit (you'll have to verify that), but with a car front sump, it won't fit.  I've only looked in to this for the 6.1L.  For example, the 6.1L hemi from a car won't fit either a stock K-member or an AlterKation front suspension.  So either way you have to get a custom oil pan. With your 5.7 its probably the same way, so I wouldn't let the oil pan dictate your suspension choice.  Here's a good link with some info:

http://www.bouchillonperformance.com/G3Oil_Components.asp

There's also a Milodon pan not mentioned on Bouchillon's page.

If it was me, I'd skip the CAP parts and tubular k-member and go with the complete Hotchkis suspension setup.  TTI makes headers for the swap.

Once again I don't want to do the hotckis setup. I don't want to lower the stock ride height of the car. Plus the way I am going I will be able to save some money this way. Dong the XV level 1 would be pretty close to the price I am going to spend on my own, but I have dealt with their poor customer service more than once myself and am unsure if I want to deal with them again. Plus I am not sure wether it lowers the car at all. I am assuming no (although I am going to check) because it says it is all stock appearance.

Also the 5.7 hemi I am going to install is from a truck. So it's rear sump. But from what I have read with the modern hemi you need a mid-sump oil pan because neither the front sump or rear sump will clear everything appropriately.

Here is my source for hemi install info. http://www.carcraft.com/techarticles/ccrp_0905_hemi_engine_swap_guide/index.html

Just wanted to give everyone an update on the XV level 1 suspension ride height. I contacted them over 2 weeks ago with my question, and still no reply. I figured I would give them another chance (with all the crap I've had to deal with from them), and it looks like I will just stick with rebuilding the suspension myself.

Have you checked the Alterktion? Your choice of engine and adjustable ride height.  :dunno:

This is the suspension I'm going to use. I have already E-Mailed a couple of times for more info, with very quick responses each time.

That is almost $2k more than I am going to be paying to rebuild (and add some goodies) for my front and rear suspension. Actually it's pretty close to what I'd be paying to rebuild my complete suspension AND add a brand new Dana 60 rear end.
