killer handling

Has anyone here taken the time to construct a road hugging e-bod. Because you hear about the horsepower side of the story all the time but you never hear about the corning aspect.

My second question is what parts have worked best for you and where did you buy them from.

The E bodies handle very well with the low wide stance , I would use a poly graphite bushing kit , good gas shocks & F&R sway bars , the factory bars are decent but addco & others make bigger bars , it also is recommended to upgrade the springs F&R, available from Mopar . A good wheel alignment will help too, set the camber about -2* instead of the factory setting

If money is not an issue, do what I have done. Get  Progressive Automotive in Ohio to set up the front end w/ C-4 or C-5 Corvette suspention. If your running a small motor use thier corvette rear as well. If you have some power get CWI in Washington to build you a 9" IRS  for the rear.   If set up right you can just about run 2002 Corveet size tires and wheels under your E-bady.   This set up will handle and stop  much better that 30 year old technology with new bushings.

About how much would that corvette suspension set up cost?

528 i was thinking the same thing the day after i posted, how cool would it be if I could get a corvette suspension under there or maybe even a viper suspension set up ;)

Thanks Chryco thats good to know about the alignment since its going to cost an arm and a leg for the corvette set up.

Ehrenbergs green brick , 68 Valiant post, handles near 1G on the skid pad, not bad for 30 Y/O technology if you ask me ::)

If you can forward  me the contact info so I can speak to
Ehrenberg and his  green brick. I would find it helpfull because my wife will not let me spend another $15K in suspention  on my next project.

I don't like Chevys much but I do like the technology that the C5 corvettes have but even they don't pull a full G.

Again, I would like to speak to Ehrenberg to see how he did it because I researched this project for a full year before spending a dime and  this was my best answer.

he also is a member on  Moparts.com  & posts regularly there
There have been numerous articles in the mags over the years about the "Brick" & has finished consistantly in the top 5 of the Lap of America race with 1/10 of the budget of most of the other high placing cars.  The articles I have read on it have stated that just using good parts & a good alignment got it to handle.
