Mike Mancini's Restoration shop in RI

So....I went to check out the shop in rhode island and all I can say is WOW!

They pretty much had all mopar in the place. Hemi cars, Daytona's, Superbirds, max wedge cars, AAR cudas, Dusters, Six pack cars all under one roof.

I spoke with the owner Mike Mancini about my car and he was very nice and very knowledgable. He gave me a tour of his shop which is broken out into seperate departments. It was pretty awesome.

He does all the processes in house from tear down and rebuild to rust repair, body and paint. I also found out he owns Instrument specialties which does all the interior stuff too.

Excuse the crude pics as I used my cell phone but if you want to check out the place in person, Mike seemed happy to give me a tour.

I talked with him about helping with some of the aspects of my cuda resto and I feel safe to say I think I found my place. I was going to visit a couple other places (and I still may) but this one tops my list so far.

I am capable of taking my car apart but I'll need a good place to handle the body for sure. The paint jobs at this place were incredable!!

I am going to try and get my cars resto going this winter so I'll keep you posted. Later. Steve

Get everything in writing. Find out finish date , oh yeah....get it in writing.  I heard horror stories here the last few years by members loosing money and time dates

 :iagree: :iagree:

I recently extricated my Challenger from a local collision shop and it was like pulling dinosaur bones from the La Brea tar pits as from the outset I failed to have any contract in place other than verbal.

Like purchasing property, or a new vehicle, restoring your Mopar will be one of the major $$$ expenditures of your life. Just as you wouldn't consider the new vehicle or property without one, neither should the resto proceed without a written contract in place :nono:

Mike Mancini is one of the good guys from my own personal experience (he restored my Challenger's instrument cluster/dash bezels) who always was there to answer any questions I had.

Best of luck with your resto Steve

Well I thought I would report back...I did end up sending my car over to Mike Mancini's shop American Muscle Car Restorations in Rhode Island and so far I am VERY happy with my experience. The attention to detail, quality and professionalism is like no other I've seen. I hope to have the car back my the end the year. This is very exciting!! You hear a lot of bad shops and crooks out there, this place is the polar opposite. Thanks to all who recommended him. -Steve

Too bad you didn't live closer to Ohio theres a guy right here in my home town Jacks Garage and his work is top notch. He does anything from street rods to orininal or classic cars. I know Jack personally and is a stand up kind of guy and many cars hes done are top award cars including good guys.
