Challenger Sail Panels? Do I need them?

This is what came in my car.... (see photo)  What exactly was the point of the this flimsy little cardboard piece?  Mine looks like it's ripped too, what should it look like without the rip?  Does anyone sell the clips?

I believe they were just to give support to the headliner in that area to reduce the wrinkles. Although, I don't think they were used in all years. My '73 showed no signs of ever having them.  :2cents:

I agree.  I think the "bean counters" found they could leave them out.

I bought a new set for my challenger. Didnt use them, so i guess they will collect dust unless i can find another use for them. Vendor probably wont take them back, so i am thinking campfire kindling  :bigsmile:
