Need info on front lap belts - 71-71 barracuda - cuda
« on: April 27, 2011 - 08:42:12 AM »
for those who have a 71 or 72 with bucket seats and lap belts without shoulder belts:  the non-retracting belt mounted to the transmission tunnel - is it a fixed length  / buckle position or the buckle slides back and forth on a belt like on a bench seat?  Mine is fixed.  The retracting belt next to the doors pulls out 36".  I ordered a new retractor from PG Classics / Mopar Plus.  It only pulls out 15".  They insist theirs is right and mine is wrong and that all Barracudas from 71 - 72 have adjustable buckle position.

Anybody have the same setup as me?

Thanks,

Mark

Your belt on the tunnel should adjust by sliding the buckle as you mentioned.  The retractor would only pull out about like what they said, stopping near the center of your body when your seated.
