Sean, for what's worth, my oem braces fit my AMD full rear floor pan, perfectly. "Tighter than a bull's a$$ in fly season" as the Old Man used to say.  :clapping:

Well, I suggested earlier that I worked the floor to fit the braces. (pics on page 1), Well I may not have been correct in doing this. I just tried the brand new AMD trunk lock support that sits directly over the rear area of the brace to floor area, and the tabs at the bottom of the support, do not meet the floor in the front of the support. So the AMD braces, do not seem to meet the AMD trunk lock support. This was another reason I was following the AMD brace profile, however, I never tried to fit the trunk lock support until I saw this discussion.
I guess no matter what you do, your gonna be workin metal.
Chris.

For what it's worth, my lock support doesn't touch the new floorpan either. And I didn't do any alterations to the 1 piece floor.
If I cant fix it, it's broke

Yeah Mike, It's nice to have the re-pop stuff but I see what you mean that it's not the same as the real stuff - which from what I hear wasn't perfect either.  It's better than nothing!

Thanks for the warning Challengerminded!  My OEM braces should be in good enough shape to reuse.

72cudamaan, Is that the AMD trunk lock support?

I cleaned up my braces and they were in better shape than I remember.  Definately using the original braces.  Thanks for your words of wisdom guys!  :worshippy   You saved me the work of trying to get the new stuff to work'!!!

Now all I got to do is figure out what to do with the repop braces I bought!   :crying:

those original braces look like they are in great shape and should clean up real nice. as far as the amd braces i would contact the dealer you bought them from and tell them they dont fit and return them for a refund or at least credit to buy something else (not amd)! :2thumbs:

I thought about offering them up here, but I don't want someone to have the same experience as I did.
