There are some really funny guys on this site.  A nuke Challenger?  I've only seen pictures of green cars with yellow stripe.  One was an fj5 with a yellow bumble bee stripe. The shop that is painting my car painted the fj5 with yellow bumble bee stripe.  Concurrently I've only seen pictures of fj5 cars with white longitudinal stripes, until now. Those stripe/color combinations make for unusual or rare cars. PK

I got my Challenger out  of the the paint shop today and I'm very happy with the results.  Since the car had four previous paint jobs and had never been completely stripped I took it down to bare metal and did all the body work.  First it was FJ5, then red, then white, then red again, and now 5J5. It was white when my son bought it and he had it painted red, as it was when I bought it. Over the years it had taken several hits so there was lots of putty.  I straightened it the best I could and replaced some rusty areas in front of and behind the rear wheels.  There was some rust around the windshield and rear window.  The floors only had pin holes so I welded them shut.  When I took it to the paint shop about all they had to do was adjust the doors and hood, block sand and prime.  They applied a base/clear system using DuPont products.  The white longitudinal stripe is painted on but under the clear.  The stripe was hand taped but a computer cut stencil was used for the R/T symbol.  I took a couple of "reflection shots to show how straight and level the sides are.  PK

Paul,

I absolutely love the Sublime and the job they did laying it down.  My favorite color!  All of your prep work has really paid off----- can't wait till I retire too!   Looks like neither of our cars will be ready for the first show of the year Mopar Spring Roundup June 5th at Mariner High School in Everett, but I hope to see you there.

Looking very nice PK.  Wish my body shop painting experience was as trouble free as yours.  I will keep Fenders and Fins in mind.

That looks awesome!!!!  :2thumbs:  Sublime green was actually on my list of colors I wanted to paint my Chally, but I chose Plum Crazy because I always loved how the purple popped against a white interior, white top & white stripes.
