6 pack to 4bbl intake manifold issues
« on: August 23, 2011 - 08:56:07 PM »
it seems the only thing i can reuse so far is the water pipe elbow on the very front of the manifold. but there are plenty of other 'holes' in the manifold that need filling. one is the heater core line ( think thats what it is) and another line that comes off the side front of the manifold. there are just threaded holes, where can i get the adapters for these? shouldnt the manifold come with them? frustrating.

also where in the heck does the throttle cable get held down? AND last but not least, brake booster line... its on the other side?  :swear:

thought these old v8's were more plug and play :(

you need a different throttle cable bracket , Mancini has them . The kickdown linkage is different also . The coil bracket is different but you can use the 6 pack one if you have it , the heater hose nipple you can get in the Dorman Help line , you also need the temp guage sender , you will need a nipple for the power brake vacuum , some of the holes probably just need plugs .
You might be better of to go to an industrial fitting supply & get all you need there .

I have the temp sender installed, and the coil on the firewall. Still need the other stuff. What is a kickdown linkage? Is that specific to just automatics? I have a manual
