Should the new 392 been marketed as the T/A?
« on: May 10, 2011 - 11:12:42 AM »
I think Chrysler missed the boat-the new 392 should of been marketed as the T/A. It has an unique engine like the T/A did and goodies like side exhaust, rear spoiler, hood scoop and stripes are all available.  :2cents:

They don't own the rights to the name and the race series is in extended hiatus so they aren't looking for marketing tie-ins. Therefore,  it makes no sense.

It does not fit the concept of the original T/A.  The 392 is more of a street brawler type concept.  Big horsepower and kick a$$.

Isn't the 392 going to be the standard engine in the SRT Challengers? If so, then it's not really unique.   :2cents:

But I do agree a T/A car would be cool and easy to do....aside from the owning the rights to the T/A name deal...
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

I could see that happening. Why not? They already brought the car back. I love my 2011 SRT8 but damn I've already been looking at T/A hood scopes and wondering when somone is going to come out with the side exhaust.
