Crown Victoria 16x7 BBS style rims on a Challenger?

Ok, weird question.  I always poke around the idea of finding a cheap set of factory rims that'll fit our cars so a new look at a cheap price. 

I know the Mustang Bullit rims have backspace and also hub hole issues on the front rotors, but what about the BBS style Crown Vic/Mercury Marquis rims?  I think the tires are like 225/60-16, I like the mesh look. 

Also, they have more of a deep dish look, so I make an asssumption that the backspace may be less Mustang like (at 5.5-6 or so inches).

Anyone know if there are backspace and hub hole issues?   Anyone try Crown Vic/Marquis rims on their car?  Maybe BIGS knows if they fit or not?

OK, I think I just answered my own question this morning.

The gentleman selling the rims states the center hole on the rim is 2.5 inches.

I have an early '72 (SBD=8/17/71) so it has a brake system similar to the '70-71 cars and the hub is about 2.75 inches wide.

So no, the rims will not clear the hub on this car.     Found a nice deal on them too. 

Even with a space, 1 inch max, the hub is taller than 1 inch so fitment issues will still prevail.  Don't know how others get around this issue...

Machine out the center? You would want different center caps anyhow.  If you lived closer I'd do it for ya.

Nice of you to offer, Brad.  Appreciate it.  Was just looking for a cheap alternative to expensive rimes/tires that were 16" or 17".
