    Wow, I am glad that didn't come apart, that could have been bad.

    Good to see it didn't blow and rip your quarter panel.
    If they are BF Goodrich they are know for ply separation,
    You'd think they would have corrected this problem by now..Had the same issue and tires
    had less than 2000 miles on them but 5 yrs old...

    Reflecting on it...  I know the car sat for a long time... probably on deflated tires... I can see where that might cause eventual problems (along with age).  Should have repalced them right away but was thinking about all the other things I had to do.

    I have BFGs on mine that are proabably ten years old or better, the three I have had them and the guy I bought them from said he stored them for seven years.

    So, I am going to look mine over real close this weekend and then keep an eye on them from now on.

    The bad part is that this style of BFG have been on back order for several months.

    I have BFG 245/ 60R15 on front and 255/60R15 on rear of my Gran Coupe Convert.

    The front tires had similar ply separation in tread.

    I bought my BFG in 09 at BJ Warehouse. Only place i found the 245/60R15.
    Don't know about Costco..not a member.

    Sears sells them not the 245/60

    TIRE RACK will ship them to a local tire store for u to have them mounted.
    I guess everyone likes the BFG because they are a nice looking (RWL)  letter tire.

    The 60's are more beefier and wider  than the tall 70's

    I firmly believe this comes from sitting in one spot too long...Had BOTH front tires on the Dart do this very thing.

    Replaced all four tires today with BF Goodrich TAs... 

    275/60R15 rear
    215/65R15 front

    They ride so nice I just had to tour the town for a few hours!

    Expensive day, but worth the peace of mind.
