TA Trim Tag Question(s)
« on: February 17, 2011 - 08:34:46 PM »
Hey guys,

Just curious about what I see on my TA in comparison to the Trim Tag:

* No A62 for Rallye Gauges, yet mine has the rallye woodgrain dash.  Would this mean the rallye gauge dash I have did not come with my car from the factory?
* No N85 for Tachometer, yet mine has the Tachometer as part of the rallye gauges.  Would this mean the tachometer I have did not come with my car from the factory?
* No G36 for Painted Racing Mirrors, yet mine has what appears to be the correct painted right and left TA racing mirrors.  Would this mean the mirrors I have did not come with my car from the factory?

Hey Charlie,

It came with the std. dash cluster. To know if it had the woodgrain you would need the broadcast sheet.

It is also coded for the single mirror.

If you had A62 (rallye cluster), you'd automatically get N85 (tach).  Not sure if on 1970, it's show J25 (3-speed wiper) which is req'd for A62.

No, someone painted your mirrors if G36 not on there.

All T/A mirrors were painted. It's just a question of whether you had one or two. In this case the car only had a driver's side one from the factory. Many people add the second mirror for safety reasons.
