Interesting. I haven't actually mounted them up, but I've been told I didn't need it with the 340.

Found my email from vinB when I was picking his brain about what I would need for the install of the 5115's, he is actually the one that told me I wouldn't need the right angle adaptor. Not sure what heads he has though...

Hmmmm, I hear ya on the paying for the better. I guess I was cheapin' - but only cause I actually wanted to stay stock...of course it keeps gettin' away from me. I ordered 2.5" exhaust, but it's a long-tube header-back set...so then I though, OK, go with headers....but maybe what I should do is fab pipes back up to the original manni's.... whatcha think?   BTW - nuthin' on Ebay yet for 5115's....

Hey Guys,
I have stock heads on the 340.
No adapter needed..
My Cuda had power steering with a auto trans , now manual steering with a 4spd and they fit great with any combo on the A-engine.. Both headers over the link..No clearance problems at all...

Is that a shorty filter or the PH8A type?

Looks like the short filter. I had to run the short filter on my small block with the Dynamax headers

FL300 Motorcraft short one, I believe the long filter will work also..
One thing I do need to check is when I put the scattershield in ???
I had my headers re-coated a couple months ago since they were in good shape except for the original coating
(from 1982) was getting bad. Alot cheaper to have them redone..
Better then buying new ones...

Can you get Doug's headers for a 1973 small block Cuda with power steering, a mini starter and a 727? Or do I need to go hooker or TTI? I need something that wont drag because I want to lower my car.

I'm probably going to the Mopars @ E-Town tomorrow the 14th.

You can look at my Cuda and see if you like them or not...
