Hemi Availabilty
« on: May 16, 2011 - 06:09:00 PM »
Guys I am currently starting to work on my car again and need some advice. I am looking for the places that sell hemi's used for a reasonable price. I know many of the residents on here have done hemi conversions. I know craigslist is a good place to start, and I am looking there. But maybe there is a site that specializes in used motors. I tried LKQ and theyre prices were a little high. Guys any and all help will be appraciated.

Gen III hemis are really what I am aiming for. I would prefer a 6.1 but I will take a 5.7. It really doesnt matter what size.

I'd try checking the local wanted ads near you. I picked up my 5.7 for $450 (needs a rebuild due to a bad rod bearing). Average price for a working one (5.7 that is) from what I have found is $1200-$2000. 6.1's do of course cost more.
