fresh fish from oregon
« on: May 14, 2011 - 02:29:57 AM »
new guy from oregon here. my buddy told me about this site a couple of years ago, but i never made it over until now. i happened upon while researching info on what will hopefully be my next project. a friend in another state has stumbled across a '71 challenger r/t. plum crazy, 383 4speed car with the shaker hood option. she's rough. but she's also cheap. since i am a truck driver and father of 3; cheap is obviously a huge plus. if it works out i will post before pics so you guys can tell me how lcuky or insane i am.

Welcome! You mentioned your next project, does this mean you have something else you've been working on?

What part of Oregon are you from?
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

i'm in hillsboro, or. just west of portland. i also have a '71 cutlass s i am building, and a 1979 d100 swb. and a '67 galaxie 500 i hope to sell soon. some of everything. but i want to slim it down to all mopar, except for the olds, which is being built to replicate my 1st car. here's a pic of what the challenger would look like restored...or close enough anyway.

I'm in Vancouver, WA.  PM me if you want to chat or need another mopar guy to bounce ideas off of.  Would like to see more of your project!  Also, let me know if you need another set of eyes to look at your possible project.

Not sure if you're doing your own paint, but I do have a paint booth.

thanks C O D Y, i'm not even sure if i will be doing my own paint. got the ok from my wife, but won't be able to make it official until monday. it is out of state...way out of state. my buddy will be doing the leg work and storing it until i can transport it to oregon. i normally wouldn't do this; but a '71 challenger r/t big block, 4speed, shaker car for $1000 is too good to pass up. especially not when it is a plum crazy car to boot. my friend is a paint and body guy, and says it is fairly solid, but needs work on the quarters. i have a long road to go; but it will be worth it. might just take you up on the offer.
