remote mirror bezels
« on: May 24, 2011 - 09:34:49 PM »
Is there a difference between Cuda and Challenger remote mirror bezels?  Lets see some pictures of both please.

I have two different kinds of bezels in my box of Challenger parts.  The bezel I received with my new mirror(from BE&A) is very large and doesn't fit in the door panel.  I'm wondering if this is a Cuda part.  If it is...I have no idea where it would have come from.  Thanks

The bezels are the same for Cuda's and Challenger's. The B-body bezel is slightly larger, so I have a feeling that's what you have. The hole in my door panel was enlarged, so I needed the B-body bezel. I can post a pic of it later today if no one chimes in by then.

I just heard back from Mike at BE&A.  He also said that Cuda and Challenger bezels are the same.  I guess he supplies a B-body bezel with all the mirrors.  He lists the Challenger bezel separately.  My origonal bezel is in great shape.  It just needs to be polished up a bit.  I guess I got lucky.

I assume the small metal plate goes on the remote before it's passed through the door panel.  Then the large stamped nut gets tightened down to hold it to the door.  Followed by the bezel to finish it off correct?

How did everyone run the remote cable in the door?  I ran it in to the metal clip on the side door beam but that's as far as I got.  There are two plastic clips that need to go somewhere.  I assume one of them goes at the front of the door by the hinges.   Where does the other one clip?
