360 header gasket question (s) ?
« on: May 22, 2011 - 02:51:46 PM »
I'm having trouble getting these headers to stop ticking!  There are holes down low under the head port... But the headers (tti) only have two bolts there...  The gaskets show the holes....   So do I plug them? some type of different gaskets? Is there a difference between 360 and 340 header flanges? (i didn't think so)  Everything went just fine,But I can't seem to get them to seal up. About to try copper formagasket.    never had this problem before.    Can someone enlighten me on these holes?    :dunno: :clueless: :1zhelp:   I've tried doubling up the gaskets too...  R/T

I've heard you can JB weld there holes, they are related to smog equipment or something IIRC.  Not sure if the copper rtv will work.  Could tap them and put in plugs too.
