Air Gap intake plugs
« on: June 29, 2011 - 08:56:04 PM »
I just bought a Air Gap and the company supplies extra "plugs" for the unused bolt holes. My question is for someone that put these in is how? I don't want to go start beating on the thing to get them in but I think it looks  more finished with them in. Thanks

Unused bolt holes? Are you sure they are not the gasket retainers to hold the intake gasket to the head during installation or the plugs for the coolant passages?  Might need a pic on this one...

I think he bought the Knock-off intake from Professional Products.  Be careful as the intake will crack if you hit it hard enough banging those in.

The engine builder started tapping them for hex head plugs and I was going to finish them, but swapped tot he Air-gap for other reasons(intake cut)

Isn't that the plug for the EGR device if it is not used? Small plugs that look like freeze plugs in the block?

some small block intakes have dual bolt patterns now for the LA or magnum heads , I am thinking these are the plugs he is reffering to to block the extra bolt holes into the heads like Mikes engine
