Autometer Gauges
« on: December 15, 2004 - 09:18:25 AM »
Does anyone have pictures of the various Autometer gauges lit up?  I really want to get a complete set of Cobalt guages, but they don't make a 5" in dash tach or speedo in the Cobalt series.   I am contempating doing a complete custom dash that will accomodate the gauges in that series, but would like to see what the others look like lit up before I take that route and make a bunch more work for myself.

I am doing the same thing but using the Autometer Ultra-lite series gauges.  I don't have a picture of the gauges lit-up but if you want blue back lighting, just replace the white bulb with a blue one.  I think Autometer sells colored caps for the bulbs or you can just buy colored bulbs from your local auto parts shop.  I think the bulb number is 194.  I have seen them in green and blue. :)

I enquired to Autometer's sales dept. on Friday and they actually told me they are planning to release the Cobalt and C2 series speedo and tach in a 5 inch version, but haven't officially announced when.  Which is cool for me, for now.  I am not it rush.  ::)

I was looking at their Arctic White and Antique series and found they are pretty reasonably priced too for a 5 guage combo pack ...about $220 for them. Wish now I hadnt been in a hurry to get started on the dash but instead went with a sun setup
