Dash Pad POll for a Potential Group buy.

I have a 3 speaker A/C core I can bring to Carlisle.  The ideal situation for me anyway would be to order through the group buy and make the pickup and core exchange at the same time at Carlisle.  Hopefully to avoid the core charge and 2x shipping.  I think a few others feel the same way.  Is this a possibility?

Not for me.....as I am not going to Carlisle this year. 

However, I am still happy with the price and shipping even if I have to pay shipping both ways.

IF this happens, and this is a big IF, customers will still be on the hook for the shipping regardless of the end point, cannot absorb shipping and discount parts. problem is the poll has recieved good response, maybe need to do another poll of when everyone is ready to buy, I did recieve an initial price from UR and it is not a real saving, It appears as well that most want their original pads redone which will eliminate the core, So maybe we could set this up too where all cores come to roseville first. then i tag and bag and send them all at once then UR ships them back to end customer, this seams to be the easiest logistical  way. plus it reduces the core exchange issue on both end plus the extra shipping to do so.  Hmmmm

  Sounds like a good way to eliminate confusion. Many of us that spoke up in this thread aren't in a big hurry, by the sound of it. Now, if we can all agree on when to jump!

just FYI-the longer you wait, the more expensive they become. material costs are going up- i bought 3 dashes from dan 3 1/2-4 years ago from dan at spring fling for 510.00 ea.-i brought my own cores to the show. i wish i would have bought 5 or 6 of them.
just for example- i was going to have my 71 cuda grille restored at alltrim about the same time-now they no longer do them. i snoozed- i lose-or lost to put it in past tense.

I think timing will be the biggest issue.  I, for one, can work around others timing. And yes I want to have my original dash pad recovered.

Dave, I like the idea of shipping them to one location, and then sending them all in at once.

We give everyone a time frame / drop dead date to get them to Dave.  Dave also collects everyone $$ upfront and then sends them in to be redone.  Wither they send them directly back to us or to Dave and he sends them out id OK by me.

I vote for October. Show and cruise season is upon us and I prefer not to tear the car apart as we try to hit some sort of show every weekend as weather allows.

How bad does screw up the deal, Dave? How long would we have to return the core?

Dave good luck working with Ultimate Rides. I had talked to a local guy who purchased his pad directly from UR, he never got his core charge refunded, so I bought mine from AZ Nic. I sent mine to UR in September and Nic said it would be about 6 weeks, well I got my FIRST pad back in about a month was thrilled when it came back early I opened it up and there was a dimple in it so I called Nic and he sent them the pictures they agreed to fix it. I got busy with work and the holidays and sort of forgot about the pad. In January I called Nic to find out where the pad was and he said that he had talked to UR and they said the pads were done but they were out of boxes to ship them, and they would ship them out as soon as they could. So I waited a little longer when the SECOND pad showed up it also had a defect in it they said they would fix it but they would not pay for the shipping this time. Waited awhile longer and no pad so I called Nic and he called UR and they said that they had already shipped me the pad, but they couldn't give him a tracking number. About 7 months after this whole thing started I got a dash pad back that was acceptable. Oh and if you send your core in don't plan on getting the same one back I didn't.  I was over on Moparts and they were talking about Carolina dash pads they are in Ohio some where, and Mike Ross from BEA said that they were very good  pads

I would like to say yes, But i have scheduling conflicts at this time, but i am trying to move things around to clear up july 8-10, so i cant give you a yes or a no currently.
