Rally gauge conversion from standard gauge set up?
« on: May 23, 2011 - 02:54:50 PM »
Hi all, does anyone know if a conversion from a standard gauge set-up to rally gauges is do-able?

Has anyone done it, seen it done?

Not a fan of the tach mounted on a steering column.

Thanks,

Bill

It's a common swap. You'll need to find a constant power source for the clock, and a switched power source for the tach. You will also need to replace the oil pressure sending unit. The one for the dash warning light won't work on a Rally set up. The light bar is also different for the Rally gauges(4 bulbs vs. 3 with the standard set up). This might or might not matter to you.

I have done it, and may I add that the heater control panel is also different. You also need to run a wire out to the coil for the tach signal.
