coil mounting
« on: June 02, 2011 - 07:43:26 PM »
anyone got a picture of a coil mounted on a dual plane m1 RB intake.  looks like it is going to hit distributor if you use mounting holes on intake?   Also anyone know a good plug wire set that has cut to lengths wires with both straight and 90 degree boots included for plug ends.

Can't help with the intake/coil question , but I used MSD wires, the straight boots can be bent to about 45 degs and you can buy extra 90 deg or straight boots. My set is black in colour. Hope that helps some?

Myself, regardless of the intake, etc, I mount my coils OFF the engine, typically on the inner fender wells:  Coils get VERY hot mounted on thier side, only an inch from the intake.  Regardless of how you desire to mounty, accel makes great 8mm, as well as MSD that are cut to fit
