Hey All .....

here is my dilema -

I can switch on the head lamps to parking light - outside lights are all okay.
I can switch on the head lamps to front lights - outside lights are all okay.

I can set the over head courtesy lamp on with the dimmer switch turning full left.

The lights bar over the dash is not working, the shifter console light is not working as well as the light over the fan switch area.

Also - is there suposed to be courtesy lamps under the dash area to light up the floor (they are on GM cars - new to Mopar).

Where do I start looking for this =====   I'm pretty good with electrical and mechanical.  Just want to start chasing the right rabbit down the right hole.  LOL

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

PS...   car just arrived today and I have to deal with this.....   guy I purchased from failed to mention this little issue.

First check bulbs. If they are ok, could be the dimmer switch gone bad. Check power out of the switch. We can go from there.

ok - will check bulbs tomorrow.   I be really suprised if they are all bad.....

Which switch do I need to check outbound power on - head lamp or panel dimmer?
Does the light switch send power to the dimmer switch?

sorry for the stupid questions.....

Not sure what terminal to check. It has been a while. We have a member that rebuilds the switch/dimmer if thats what it turns out to be.

Check your fuse block, 3 of 5 amp fuse right under the horn relay. it is for the dash lights.  Use a test light on it and  check the fuse and the contacts arount it.  All the others are 20 amp.

I checked all the fuses in the block with a VOM - all okay.

I have a feeling it is the dimmer switch.  I will check on it tomorrow.

Thanks for everyones help!

If it's the panel dimmer, & it probably is, member Slotts does a bang-up resto on those
