any tricks to getting the leftside headlight switch panel back into the dash?

Finally fixed my gauges after years and many people tying, and I did it myself,  :bigsmile:now I can't get the silly left panel back in-argh

Don't have the right side screwed in place just yet. The panels inter-lock together. I recall using a big flat blade screw driver to "convince" the left side to go into place.

I would also put a piece of low stick tape along the edge of the right guage piece until you are done.  This will help prevent the common scratches that seem to always be in this area.  The blue masking tape is low stick.  Just put it in place.  The last one I did I had to get the top under the dash pad first.  The I worked it into place.

Second that. If not, you're almost guaranteed to scratch the woodgrain pattern down to silver.

Just be patient and it'll eventually go in. I will say it's a poor design when doing it the "right" way makes you feel like you're gonna break something. But I'll cut Mopar some slack considering this was designed in the days when it was all still paper and pencils. :-)
