440 upper Stamp Pad decode - help ---

my pad reads the following:

There are no other imprints that I can see, something looks like it there but I can't make it out.


Does this mean I have a low performance 440 engine?
I  was told the engine was replaced a long time ago - but was told it was built back like a real sixpack engine.

What would the stock compression be on this engine - say it was put back together with no changes, just a basic rebuild?

70 440   if stock, about 9  or 9.5 compression maybe

Im sad it is not 10.2

however - happy it may be around 9ish - I can pretty much get it to run on pump 93 octane then

old books claim 10-1 comp, but it really isnt. See if you have 906 casting heads on it and if you can tell if the head gaskets are steel shim or composite.  6pk pistons does help the CR but you just dont know what you have untill you take it apart.  If the pistons are not flush with the deck and down in the hole, it will not be a 10-1 engine, but you still could make tq and resonable power.  6  9  i believe means june 1969

You have to remove the valve cover. There is a series of numbers ending with 906.
