Flat black hockey stick question...
« on: June 08, 2011 - 11:19:50 PM »
This seems like the best place to post this question.

I have a black 1970 Cuda with flat black hockey sticks.  I'd rather not wax over the flat black sticks to keep them looking flat black, but trying to keep the wax off the hockey sticks is a small pain.  Just curious if anyone has any insight.

Thanks,

Tom

That's a job right there keeping wax off em.    Well seeing that I do vynil graphics for a living and have some experience in this,    I can offer this up to you.       The good news is that wax is not permanent and will fade away after a wash or two on the flat venial anyway.  If you do happen to get some on there try a mixture of half white vinegar half windex on the corner of a rag and wipe it off.    Vinegar strips wax so be careful not to do it on a hot day in direct sunlight.

This is also a great formula for removing water spots.

Tried the vinegar/windex combo yesterday.  Happy to report that it works great on fresh wax. :woo:  Gotta "scrub" a little bit harder on stuff that is a little older.  Thanks for the heads up on this one.
