I just installed carpet in my 70 Challenger from www.accmats.com.  They are molded and can be had with a high density butyl backing.  They supply many different retailers but I don't know if you can get the "Challenger" insert. I ordered from them direct.  Couldn't be happier with the quality and fit. PK

If you want a factory correct carpet, check this out....

Not cheap, but really nice.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

the ECS carpet is nice but you will still have to trim like the rest, added avantage is that it goes up alot higher on the firewall, i put one in a 4 speed car and had some issues with the area around the hump and tunnel

80/20 loop isn't correct for a 73 though.  I think 1970 is the only year that used that style.

Dave,
Just some questions....Do you carry the 4 speed carpet for my car? Is there a reason why you used their carpet rather than the one that you sell? Better quality? I see that it is a bit expensive but if it is worth the extra money I will take that route. please let me know. Thanks.

The ECS carpet has extra material in the front and the sides.  This is to ensure that you have plenty of material to trim the carpet to fit the car.  The heel pads are also placed in the correct place.  The biggest advantage to the ECS carpet is that it is shipped flat.  It is never rolled up and put in a small box.  The carpet is supposed to be molded to the floorpan shape.  When its rolled up, it looses some of the contour.

I havn't decided if it is worth the extra money for me.   More than double the price is a little hard to justify.  Now if they would bring their carpets to some major Mopar shows, I would definatly buy it from them.

i can have a fresh carpet drop shipped 7-10 days.  Better quality ? only other 2 manufactures are ACC or ECS but then again its your option, The only thing i like about the ECS carpet is the extra length at the firewall. All of the carpets have to be trimmed. The cuda I put in was a 70 4 spd and i wasnt to thrilled about the way it layed on the hump. Yes it has extra padding which aposes a problem on the side of the hump. If you go with the ECS the front carpet is stil folded in half.
