Ok I cleaned the splines, marked the alignment spline, and still can't get it to go on.
In a furious rage, I decided to rip apart the entire column again.
How does the coupler come off, and does anything look wrong in this picture?
^How does that gear took thing for the steering wheel lock come off (assuming it does), and is it in the right place or should it be against that snap ring (which would solve my problem...I think)?
Does this backing plate come off? On my 68 charger there's a notch where it can slide over that bump on the column. I dont know if this would help me but Im curious.
