Cuda
« on: July 17, 2011 - 02:32:20 AM »
I really want a cuda with a 426 hemi a stick shift and hard top. But can't afford a finished one so I'm looking to start a project. If I buy a 1970-74 barracuda of any kind just the e body. Can I drop in a 426 or does it have to be a 70-71. I don't care I'd it's matching numbers.

Hi and welcome to CC.com.  You can put a 426 into any year Cuda - you'll have to change a few parts out, but the simple answer is yes.

This is a long  way off but what is the easiest 426 to drop in and put a shaker on. Also can you recommend a good service manual.
